Senior Backend Engineer Videoland

(12 months | 32–40 hours)

Your role

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you are a driving force within the team. You combine hands-on development with technical leadership and ensure that we build scalable, future-proof solutions.

On-call duties are part of this role.Additionally, AI is applied where relevant in our solutions and ways of working — your vision and experience in this area will have a direct impact.

Your profile

• You have at least 6–8 years of experience as a backend engineer.

• You are an expert in C# and the .NET framework, with experience in complex systems and architecture.

• You think beyond individual features and make technical decisions with long-term impact.

• You have extensive experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.

• You take technical ownership and help the team make better decisions.

• You coach and mentor colleagues and actively contribute to their growth.

•  You are a strong communicator and can easily collaborate with both developers and stakeholders.

• You understand the business context and translate it into scalable solutions.

•  You are open to innovation and enjoy working with AI and modern developer tooling.

• You are based in the Netherlands and available to work at least 2 days per week from our office in Hilversum.

Your team

You will work in a close-knit team of 4 colleagues: 3 developers and 1 Product Owner. Together, you are end-to-end responsible for your product.

The team’s mission is to grow the user base of our Videoland platform, making it the number one streaming platform in the Netherlands. The focus of the work is on adding and maintaining integrations between the Videoland platform and our partners.
